Ascend Harm Reduction

Ascend Harm Reduction was a non-profit harm reduction organization based out of Calgary, Alberta. I was the communications officer for the organization, responsible for the branding, development of the communication plan, any outbound messaging, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. I also offered assistance with logistics and business administration and volunteered my time running harm reduction information booths at some events.
My effort in this role had attracted dozens of opportunities for Ascend to provide their services and have developed relationships with promoters, venue staff, and the community at large. These relationships have garnered donations for the organization and provided an avenue to relate to its target audience outside of events and information booths.
